Lab Animal Residency Program

The University of Florida Residency in Laboratory Animal Medicine is a 3 year non-degree program. Residents are provided a stipend and health benefits. Eight veterinarians boarded by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine with one also boarded by the American College of Veterinary Pathology participate in the program. The University of Florida AAALAC-accredited research program is diverse providing residents with a broad experience. Animal Care Services employs over 100 staff with over 200,000 gsf of animal facilities used for housing a broad range of species. The ACLAM-approved training program supports three residents.
